Of Roku, Angry Birds, and the Importance of the Cloud

IBM’s recent acquisition of Cloudant is just the latest reminder that the cloud wars may not be too distant in our horizon. However, this post is not about such heady fare. Instead, I’d like to share a recent personal experience I had with Roku and Angry Birds which I believe argues for the necessity of the cloud for individuals as well as businesses.
